The rich heritage of House of Holy Spirit Church dates back to the 21st day of July 2002, when it was founded by Mr Harnek Singh, M.A., M.Ed., at Amritsar, Punjab (India). He is the main pastor of HHS Church. The church was set up for the explicit purpose of fostering spiritual growth of the society, the city and the other parts of the world.

The constitution, scope and operation of the House of Holy Spirit Church underwent a sea change with the formation of the House of Holy Spirit Society . The society was registered under the Registration of Society Act, Act XXI of 1860 and as amended by Punjab Amended Act 1957, bearing registration number ASR/517 of year 2003-04 on 17th day of March, 2004.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF HHS SOCIETY

The society shall have no concern with any political parties nor have any political aim. It is purely a religious and welfare society.

It will work for the welfare of people of India and to promote and encourage the spiritual and moral values in every sphere of the life of people of all communities in India.

It is developing the spirit of understanding and fellowship among the people of India irrespective of caste, race, colour or nationality.

Making arrangements to help the illiterate to study.

Arranging for the marriage of poor girls and minimizing the practices of dowry in the society by teaching youth and all.

Besides these, there are many other aims and objectives of HHS society, which HHS Church is a part of.

BIBLICAL AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The main aim, above all, is to tell people about the love of God in the form of Lord Jesus Christ as our saviour.

The first calling of the HHS Church is to have fellowship with God and to make His Church a house of Prayer for all nations.

To bring the kingdom of God to all by the Holy Spirit, not by might or by power. The Church encourages to honour the name of the loving God. Our aim is to love God and our neighbours. The whole law is fulfilled by keeping these two commandments.
